Stop missing gold signals that land while you sleep

Gold signal groups post at all hours, so calls land while you are at work, with your family or asleep. You see the message an hour later, the entry has gone, and the trade you meant to take never happened.

How Trade By Focus places the trade for you

Telegram Signals lets you copy telegram signals automatically from a group you are already in onto your connected MT5 account. There is no bot to add, and the group owner does nothing and does not need to know. You connect your own Telegram account by phone number, and the platform reads the groups you belong to.

To set it up, tap Signals in the bottom bar (or Auto → Telegram Signals), then Connect Telegram. Enter your number in international format with the leading + and country code, tap Send Code, type the code Telegram sends you and tap Verify. Then pick the group.

On the group's Signal settings screen, three choices decide what happens:

• Trade this group: Trade signals places the group's calls on your account. Paused reads and logs them without placing anything.
• How to trade these signals: Follow their signals exactly uses the group's own stop loss and take profits with your lot size for each pair. Use my preset takes only the entry from the group, and your preset supplies the stop loss, the take-profit ladder, break-even and trailing.
• Symbols: map each pair the group calls, gold included, to a lot size or a preset. A signal for a pair you have not mapped is skipped.

Then tap Save changes. On Follow their signals exactly, the group's later messages, such as move to break-even, close half or a new stop, are matched to the open trade and applied. On Use my preset, those messages are logged, and your preset manages the exit.

Nothing has to stay on at your end

The trades are placed by your MT5 session, which is hosted on Trade By Focus servers rather than on your phone. You do not need a PC left on, a VPS or MetaTrader running on your own machine, and the app does not need to be open. Closing the app, locking your phone, losing Wi-Fi or a flat battery will not stop a signal being placed or a trade being managed. Partial closes at TP1, break-even and trailing stops all run on the servers too.

If you want to be told when something happens, turn on Trade Notifications on the Profile page, under Notifications. It sends a push when any trade opens, hits a take profit or hits its stop, signal trades included. Every switch starts off. Trade By Focus is a web app, so push only reaches your phone once you have added it to your home screen and allowed notifications.

What to watch

The one thing that must stay active is your MT5 connection to the platform. If it drops, for example because you changed your MT5 password at the broker, the platform tries to reconnect first. If it cannot, you get a push asking you to sign back in. A signal that arrives while you are disconnected is not placed. A stop loss or take profit already sitting at your broker will still trigger.

A few other things can stop an overnight call going on:

• Signals posted as screenshots or chart images cannot be read. Only typed text is.
• On Follow their signals exactly, a call with no stop loss is held until the group sends one. If no stop arrives, the call is not traded.
• A waiting order, or an entry zone that price never reaches, expires after the group's signal validity window. The default is 8 hours.
• A "buy now" or "sell now" that quotes a price is skipped if it arrives after price has already passed the group's first take profit, so you do not chase a move that has already happened.
• If you set a trading window, its times are in UTC, not UK time.

Telegram Signals needs Pro or Max, and a free trial includes everything in Pro. A group set to Trade signals uses one of your live automation slots. That is 3 at once on current plans and 5 per MT5 account on Max. A group on Paused uses no slot. Open its Feed to see how each message was read, tagged SIGNAL, UPDATE, HOLD or NOISE, before you switch it to Trade signals.
