Trade By Focus Beta Features: What's Live Right Now and What's Coming Next
Platforms love announcing features. What actually ships is a different conversation. This post is a living snapshot of the Trade By Focus beta features that are genuinely running today, plus an honest look at what's coming — so you're not guessing, and neither of us is pretending.
I'll mark this one for updates as things change. If you're reading it six months from now, the roadmap section might already be out of date in the best possible way.
What's actually live
Hosted MT5 — the thing everything else runs on
The foundation of Trade By Focus is that your MT5 session runs on our servers, not on your device. You connect any MT5 broker account — demo or live — in a couple of minutes, and from that point the platform manages everything whether your phone's open, locked, or out of signal. No VPS. Nothing to leave running on your end.
Your account credentials are forwarded once to open the session and then discarded. They're never stored. Funds stay in your broker account throughout. This matters because a lot of traders are understandably nervous about connecting third-party tools — the architecture here means there's nothing to be nervous about.
Trade management that runs without you watching
This is probably the most-used feature set in the current build. Every position you open can carry a five-level take-profit ladder — TP1 through TP5 — that scales you out in stages as the trade moves. Auto-breakeven moves your stop to entry the moment TP1 hits, or you can cascade it up the ladder. Trailing stop can kick in at TP1-TP4, at breakeven, or once a set profit threshold is cleared.
You set it once. The hosted engine handles the rest. You don't need to be watching at NY open (13:30 UTC) when a move rips through your TP1 and reversal risk spikes — the ladder's already managing it.
Partial closes
Related to the TP ladder but worth calling out separately: you can close partial positions manually too. Not all-or-nothing. If price has moved into a reasonable profit zone but you want to stay in for a bigger leg, you close part, move the stop, and let the rest run. Sounds basic. Most mobile tools don't do it properly.
Slide-to-confirm
Small UX detail with a real consequence. Emergency Close All — the button that flattens all positions on a pair in one tap — requires a deliberate slide gesture to execute. Stops you fat-fingering a market order when you meant to check the chart. Had this kind of thing happen on a demo account years back and it's the sort of mistake you don't want to make on live size.
News blackouts
You configure a news blackout by currency pair, impact level, and how many minutes either side of a release you want the system to pause new entries. High-impact USD news during London-New York overlap is the obvious use case — CPI, NFP, FOMC — but you can set it as narrow or wide as you like. Stops your automation firing into a 30-pip spike that's going to reverse immediately.
Drawdown auto-pause
Set a daily drawdown limit and the platform stops new entries automatically when you breach it. Not a warning. An actual pause. You can read more about how this works in the drawdown auto-pause breakdown — but the short version is it's configurable per pair and you can resume manually once you've looked at what went wrong. A kill-switch that triggers on a number, not on your emotions.
AI trade coach and automatic journaling
On first connection, Trade By Focus imports your entire closed-trade history from the broker. The journal then gives you win rate, profit factor, session and symbol breakdowns, a six-axis Focus Score, and behavioural habit cards that flag patterns you probably haven't noticed yourself. Smart Insights surfaces the weak spots — the pairs you overtrade, the sessions where your results fall apart, the Friday afternoon revenge trades.
The AI coach works from this data. It's not generic advice about risk management. It's based on your actual trade history, and it pushes back on specific things. Trade Replay lets you play any closed trade back bar-by-bar so you can see exactly where you entered, where the stop was, and what price did next. Proper review, not just a log.
Signal Group Tasks
If you're already in a Telegram signal group, you can auto-trade it without adding any bot or asking the group owner to do anything. Single-price calls become pending orders; entry-range calls become a draggable Range Watch zone on the live chart. Signal Lab runs the group's last 30 days against live prices and gives you a plain-English read on whether the calls are actually followable before you risk anything on them.
Live charts and the drawing toolkit
TradingView-style candles, every timeframe from M1 to MN, a full indicator suite (VWAP, SuperTrend, Ichimoku, Bollinger, RSI, MACD, and more), and a complete drawing toolbar. Alerts attach to any line, level, box or indicator — you get told when something happens instead of watching all afternoon.
What's on the roadmap
A few things are in development that aren't live yet. Worth being upfront about what they are.
Alert delivery to additional channels is coming — so instead of a push notification only, you'd get the same alert to Telegram, email, or another destination you choose. Useful if you're managing multiple sessions or just prefer not to rely on a single notification channel.
Multi-account management is planned. Right now you can connect up to three pairs at once and switch between brokers freely, but full multi-account dashboarding — seeing everything in one view — is further along the roadmap.
Copy-trading is a question mark. The architecture already handles a lot of what copy-trading needs, so it's a natural extension. Nothing to confirm yet, but it's being looked at.
If you're reading this and one of these has shipped, the post has been updated accordingly.
This isn't a feature dump
The things listed above are live because they solve specific problems traders actually have on mobile — not because they look impressive in a screenshot. News blackouts exist because automation firing into CPI is a fast way to have a bad day. Slide-to-confirm exists because mobile trading involves a lot of small screen tapping and one wrong tap can hurt. The TP ladder exists because manually managing five exit levels while holding a phone in your hand is unrealistic.
