Which Telegram signal groups actually deliver? Check their calls before you connect one
The ISM services numbers came out on Monday 5 October. The PMI printed 54.9 against a forecast of 54.7, and prices paid came in at 74.0 against 76.9 expected. Within half an hour, every gold group in my Telegram had said something. One posted a buy. Another posted a sell. A third posted nothing until the move was done, then put up a screenshot with three fire emojis and "told you".
The trouble with judging a group from inside its own chat is that the chat is the group's shop window. The winners get pinned and the losers scroll away. Search for the best telegram forex signal groups ranked and you mostly find lists written by people with an affiliate link to the groups at the top.
I paid for a VIP gold group once on the strength of its pinned messages. It took me a month of getting chopped to notice that nothing that went wrong ever got pinned.
The best telegram forex signal groups ranked on their calls, not their screenshots
Signal Rankings in Trade By Focus do something the group admin can't spin. They track every group's calls against live prices. When a group posts an entry, a stop and targets, the call is recorded at the moment it lands, and then the market decides what happened to it. Did price ever reach the entry? Did it get to TP1 before the stop? Did it rip through the stop on the first push? That record builds up call by call, and the groups are ranked on it.
So instead of asking which group sounds most confident, you're comparing groups on what their calls did in the market. That's the only question that matters once your own money is on the other side of the message.
The MetaTrader app can't help you here. It places trades on your MT5 account perfectly well, but it has no idea Telegram exists, so it has nothing to tell you about a group until you've already copied its calls by hand and lost or won on them. Trade By Focus runs off that same MT5 login, so the rankings sit right next to the account you'd be trading the group on.
Using the rankings to build a shortlist
Start with the instrument you actually trade. If you trade gold, a group that's brilliant on GBPUSD is irrelevant to you, so filter your thinking down to the groups calling the market you're in.
Then look past the last few days. A group can look like geniuses after one data release, and Monday's ISM print is exactly the sort of event that makes a single call look like skill. You want a group whose record holds up through the quiet weeks as well, when gold ranged out between Asia and London and there was nothing to brag about.
Look at how the calls are built too. A group that gives an entry, a stop and targets on every call is a group you can actually measure. One that posts "gold buy now" with the stop following ten minutes later (or never) will look odd in any honest ranking, and that tells you something before you've risked a penny.
Keep the shortlist short. Two groups is plenty. Five groups calling the same pair will happily put you long and short gold at the same time.
Watching them through today's data
Today's a decent day to test a shortlist. The US EIA crude oil stocks change is due at 15:30 UK time and the US 10-year note auction follows at 18:00. A weak auction can push yields around late in the New York session, and that drags on gold and USDJPY when most UK traders have stopped looking. Groups love posting into that.
This is where monitor-only mode comes in. Connect your shortlisted groups (ones you're already a member of, no bot to add, nothing the admin has to do) and set them to monitor-only. Every call they post gets logged against your account without a single order going in. You can do the whole vetting period on the 7-day free trial, which is roughly the right length to see a group through one data-heavy day and a few dull ones. You'll see each call appear in the app, often before you've opened Telegram, and you can check it against the chart afterwards.
Compare what you saw this week with where the group sits in Signal Rankings. If the ranking and your own week of watching agree, you've got a candidate. If a group ranks well but its calls around the auction tonight look like guesswork, bin it and move on to the next one.
When you do switch a group from monitor-only to live, set its daily loss limit before the first trade goes in. Once the day's banked loss hits your figure, that group can't open anything new until tomorrow, and that matters far more on its worst day than its best.
