Trade By Focus ("we", "our", "us") is a sole trader business operated by James Mitchell in the United Kingdom. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Data We Collect
Account information: name, email address, phone number (if provided)
Trading Station data: MT5 account balance, equity, open positions, trade history, and live tick data received from your MT5 platform via the Trading Station EA. This data is used solely to power your Trading Station dashboard and is not shared with third parties.
EA Builder data: MT5 account numbers (for license registration), EA configuration choices, trading journal data uploaded voluntarily for analysis
Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details
Usage data: pages visited, features used, chat interactions with our AI support
VT Markets verification data: confirmation that a VT Markets account has been opened and funded, used solely to grant Trading Station access
2. How We Use Your Data
- To deliver your Expert Advisor, Trading Station access, and related services
- To manage your account, licenses, credits, and Trading Station verification status
- To power your Trading Station dashboard with live trading data
- To provide AI-powered support and analysis
- To send transactional and marketing emails (marketing with your consent only)

3. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Loops — marketing email automation
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI chat and analysis features
- Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymous usage analytics
- Hotjar — anonymous session recording and heatmaps
- TikTok — advertising attribution
- VT Markets — affiliate partner; verification status only, not trading data
4. VT Markets Affiliate Disclosure
Trade By Focus participates in the VT Markets affiliate programme. If you open a VT Markets account via our platform, we receive a commission. We share only the minimum information required to verify your account status. We do not share your trading data, account balance, or any other personal data with VT Markets beyond what is required for affiliate verification.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. Trading Station live tick data is retained for a maximum of 5 minutes on a rolling basis. Trade history and position data is retained for the duration of your account. On account deletion we remove your EA files, chat history, license data, and trading data. A minimal record is retained for fraud prevention.
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or object to processing of your personal data. Contact james@tradebyfocus.com to exercise any of these rights.
