900 Live Strategies With Full Track Records and You Don't Have to Auto-Trade Any of Them

900 Live Strategies With Full Track Records and You Don't Have to Auto-Trade Any of Them

Most traders who look at a strategy leaderboard assume there are two options: follow it blindly or ignore it entirely. What they don't realise is that their MT5 account can receive MT5 strategy alerts without auto trading doing a single thing to their positions. You watch the strategy trade. You learn whether you actually trust it. You decide if and when you follow for real.

Trade By Focus has about 900 strategies on the Automation Leaderboard right now, all of them running on live demo accounts, all of them ranked on their real results. And every one of them has a notify-only mode.

What the Automation Leaderboard actually shows you

Every strategy on the board has been running on a demo account with live market conditions. Not backtested. Not forward-projected. Traded. The full record is there: wins, losses, drawdown, the lot. You can sort by 7-day, 30-day, 90-day or all-time results and see exactly what a strategy has done across those periods.

Pairs include gold, GBPUSD, USDJPY, Bitcoin, US30, US500, USTEC and GER40. Different strategies suit different sessions; a gold strategy that catches the London open at 08:00 UTC is doing something different to one built around the NY open at 13:30 UTC or an Asian-session USDJPY play starting around 00:00 UTC.

The losses are published. That bit matters. Any leaderboard can cherry-pick a stretch where something looked brilliant. Showing the drawdown periods and the trades that went wrong is how you get an honest picture of what you're actually considering.

Adding a strategy in notify-only mode

When you tap through to a strategy you want to watch, you get the option to add it to your account. That's where you pick the mode. Fully automatic means it trades your account without asking. Semi-auto gives you a 60-second countdown to approve or reject each entry. Notify-only means it sends you a push alert every time the strategy would have entered, and your account isn't touched.

You set your lot size even in notify-only mode, which gives you a realistic read on what the strategy would have done to your account in practice rather than just watching the demo numbers in the abstract. You also configure equity protection and the news blackout here, not as an afterthought once you decide to go automatic. Both settings follow the strategy regardless of which mode you're running.

Equity protection sets a drawdown limit: if the strategy's losses reach your threshold, it pauses and opens nothing new until you reset it. The news blackout auto-pauses around high-impact events for whichever currencies are relevant, with your own timing window around each release. Both are worth setting from day one, even when you're just watching.

What notify-only mode is actually for

It's a way to audit a strategy against your own read of the market before you give it any real authority. Each alert tells you the strategy just entered (or would have entered) a trade. You can open Trade By Focus, check the chart, see where price is, and decide whether the entry makes sense to you. You're getting MT5 strategy alerts without auto trading anything, and you're doing that over days or weeks until you either trust the strategy or you don't.

I've looked at strategies that had a solid 30-day record and within a week of notify-only watching I could see they were getting chopped to pieces in a ranging market that hadn't shown up in the historical window. That's not something you see from a leaderboard stat. You see it from watching the alerts come in and checking what price was doing each time.

The flip side is that watching a strategy catch three clean moves in a row, on pairs you know, in conditions you recognise, builds a level of confidence that no backtest chart ever does. You're watching it work in real time with zero money at risk.

Switching modes when you're ready

Once you've watched a strategy long enough to have a view, changing from notify-only to semi-auto or fully automatic is a couple of taps. The equity protection and news blackout settings you configured carry over; nothing resets.

Semi-auto is worth considering as a middle step. The strategy fires an alert and you get a 60-second window to let the trade go in or cancel it. You keep discretion over individual entries while the strategy handles the management once you're in. It's a reasonable way to run something you broadly trust but still want a hand on.

If you do go fully automatic, the trade management runs on Trade By Focus's servers. Stop adjustments, take-profit scaling, trailing stops: all of it keeps working when your phone is locked and in your pocket. The MetaTrader app can't do that; it needs a live connection to manage anything. Trade By Focus runs the management server-side regardless of what your phone is doing.

The Proven Strategies shortlist

If 900 strategies is an overwhelming place to start, the Proven Strategies tab is a shortlist of strategies that Trade By Focus picked from the Automation Leaderboard based on their actual records. Same functionality, same modes, same configuration options. It's a narrower starting point if you'd rather begin with fewer options and work outward from there.

The full leaderboard is there when you want to dig. You can filter by instrument, sort by time period, and compare track records side by side. Some traders use it as a reference even when they never intend to automate anything; seeing what a well-performing strategy does on GBPUSD around the London open gives you something concrete to think about when you're placing your own trades.

The point is that the data is real and the choice of what to do with it is entirely yours. MT5 strategy alerts without auto trading is a mode, not a workaround. It's there because watching something trade before trusting it with your account is a reasonable thing to want to do.

If you've got an MT5 account, Trade By Focus is live with a 7-day free trial. Sign in with your MT5 login, pull up the Automation Leaderboard, and add something in notify-only mode. See what lands in your notifications over the next few sessions before you decide anything else.
