"Buy 2600–2615": How Trade By Focus Handles a Forex Signal Entry Zone
The problem with entry-range calls
A signal drops: "Buy gold, entry zone 2600–2615, SL 2585, TP 2640."
You see it. Price is sitting at 2618 — just outside the top of the zone. You wait. It dips to 2613, you hesitate for three seconds, and then it tears straight back through 2620 before you've touched the order ticket. You either miss the trade entirely or you chase it, which is usually when it turns around and bites you.
That specific scenario is probably the most expensive habit in retail trading. It's not the signal that cost you — it's the gap between a forex signal entry zone call and a real order sitting on your broker's server.
Trade By Focus closes that gap with the Range Watch engine.
What Range Watch actually does
When a signal from your Telegram group contains a price range rather than a single entry — "buy 2600–2615", for example — Trade By Focus doesn't just flash a notification and leave you to it. It creates a live zone on the chart and starts working it automatically.
The zone goes through three distinct stages.
The first is armed. Price is outside the zone. The engine is watching and waiting, and you get a push notification confirming it's live. You can see the band plotted on the chart — a shaded area between 2600 and 2615. If you think the zone is a touch too tight, or the spread on gold means you want a couple of extra pips of buffer, you can drag the upper or lower edge to widen it. Do it while the zone is armed and it adjusts instantly.
The second stage is scanning. Price has entered the band. Now the engine isn't just watching — it's actively hunting the best fill it can get inside the zone, while making sure an order is placed before price can escape back out through the entry side. That last part matters. Scanning doesn't mean it waits around hoping for a textbook low-of-zone fill. It means it fills you before you miss it. You get another push when scanning starts, so even if your phone is in your pocket you know price has touched the zone.
The third stage is filled. Order placed, your trade management kicks in — TP ladder, auto-breakeven, trailing stop, whatever you've set up for this pair. Another notification confirms it.
That's the full journey for a zone that works out.
When price never comes back
Here's the bit that matters most for signal following.
If price never returns to the 2600–2615 zone — if gold runs to 2640 while the zone sits unarmed — Range Watch expires the zone unfilled. It does not chase. It does not fire a market order at 2637 because "well, it was meant to be a buy". It bins the trade cleanly and you pay nothing.
I learned this the slow way after spending a solid three months manually chasing signal entries that had already moved 20 pips past the stated zone. My fills were worse than the signal's stated entry every single time, which means my SL was further away in real terms even when I used the same level.
The classic "it said buy then ran away" case is one of the main reasons traders lose confidence in signal groups that are actually decent. The signal was right; the execution was the problem. Range Watch takes that failure mode off the table entirely.
A worked example: gold, 2600–2615
Say it's 08:15 UTC — London has just opened, gold is at 2622, and your signal group posts "Buy zone 2600–2615, SL 2582, TP1 2630 TP2 2645 TP3 2665".
Trade By Focus reads the message, identifies the range, and creates an armed zone on the chart. You get a push. You glance at the chart, decide you want the zone to include a couple of extra pips on the lower side in case of a wick, and you drag the bottom edge down to 2598. Saved. Zone now reads 2598–2615, armed.
An hour later gold retraces during the mid-morning lull and touches 2611. The zone flips to scanning. You get a push. The engine places the order before price can bounce back above 2615. Filled at 2609. Your TP ladder and auto-breakeven are already configured for gold, so the trade is being managed from that point without you touching it again.
Alternatively, if the London session just keeps running and gold closes the day at 2643 without ever pulling back — the zone expires. No chase, no fat-finger at the highs, no regret fill. You wait for the next setup.
How this fits into Signal Group Tasks
Range Watch is part of Signal Group Tasks — the broader engine that lets you auto-trade a Telegram group you're already in, without any bot, without asking the group owner to do anything. Single-price calls become pending orders; range calls become this draggable zone.
The forex signal entry zone handling isn't bolted on as an afterthought. It's built around the reality that most serious signal groups give zones, not precise single prices, because zones reflect how price actually behaves. A signal group that says "buy exactly 2608.4" is either running a very tight scalp or they're making it up.
The push notifications at each stage — armed, scanning, filled — mean you're not glued to the chart. The hosted MT5 connection means the engine keeps watching even when your phone is off or out of signal. Nothing runs on your device; it runs on Trade By Focus's servers, same as your TP ladder and trailing stop.
You can also pair the zone with a news blackout filter so a high-impact event doesn't trigger a fill at exactly the wrong moment. Set the currencies, the impact level, and the minute window, and the engine pauses entry tasks automatically around the event.
