These terms govern your use of Trade By Focus ("the platform"), operated by James Mitchell as a sole trader in the United Kingdom. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. What We Provide

Trade By Focus operates two distinct services:

Custom EA Builder — a platform for building, compiling, and delivering custom automated trading software (Expert Advisors) for MetaTrader 5, based on your configuration choices.

Trading Station — a trade management and automation platform that allows you to manage open positions, execute manual trades, and create and schedule automated entry tasks via a connected MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor on your broker account.

Both services are software tools only. Nothing provided by Trade By Focus constitutes financial advice. See our Financial Disclaimer for full details.

2. Trading Station Access

Trading Station is currently available exclusively via the VT Markets free route:

• You must open and fund a live trading account with VT Markets under our affiliate arrangement
• Access is granted manually by Trade By Focus following verification of your VT Markets account
• There is no direct payment to Trade By Focus for Trading Station access at this time
• Access may be revoked at any time at our discretion, including if your VT Markets account is closed or if you breach these terms
• Trading Station is provided free of charge. Trade By Focus receives an affiliate commission from VT Markets when you open and fund an account. This does not affect the service you receive.

3. Trading Station — How It Works

Trading Station connects to your MetaTrader 5 account via a downloadable Expert Advisor (EA) that you attach to your MT5 chart. The EA communicates with the Trading Station platform to display your account data, receive and execute manual trade commands, and execute automated entry tasks and schedules you have activated.

You are solely responsible for:

• Keeping the EA attached and running on your MT5 platform
• Ensuring your MT5 platform and broker connection remain active
• Monitoring your account and any active tasks or schedules
• Activating and deactivating tasks and schedules
• Ensuring your broker account has sufficient margin

Trade By Focus sends commands to your EA. Execution depends entirely on your MT5 platform being running, your broker connection being active, and your broker accepting the order. Trade By Focus is not liable for any failed, delayed, missed, or incorrectly executed trades arising from connectivity issues, platform downtime, broker rejection, or any other cause.

4. Tasks and Schedules

By activating a task or schedule, you are instructing the platform to place trades on your live broker account automatically. You are solely responsible for any trades placed by an active task or schedule. You must monitor active tasks and deactivate them if market conditions change. Trade By Focus is not responsible for losses arising from trades placed by tasks or schedules you have activated. Pre-built strategies provided by Trade By Focus are provided as tools only — not as financial advice or recommendations. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

5. Custom EA Builder — Payment and Credits

• The paid route costs £29, which grants 30 credits and your first EA build
• The VT Markets free route grants 50 credits upon verified account setup
• Credits are used for builds, regenerations, analysis, and additional licenses
• All payments are processed securely via Stripe
• We do not store card details

6. Digital Goods and Licensing

Expert Advisors are licensed, not sold. Each EA is licensed to specific MT5 account numbers registered in your portal. You may not redistribute, resell, decompile, or reverse-engineer any EA file. Attempting to circumvent the license system may result in account termination.

7. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on paid EA Builder purchases. See our Refund Policy for full details. Trading Station is provided free of charge — no refund mechanism applies.

8. Subscriptions

Where subscription pricing is introduced in future: subscriptions are billed monthly, you may cancel at any time, access continues until the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are provided for unused days.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, redistribute EA files or Trading Station access, engage in abusive behaviour, attempt to exploit the credit or license system, or have their VT Markets account closed.

11. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
