How to copy Telegram signals to MT5 without a VPS

The short answer

Use a copier that runs MetaTrader 5 for you on its own servers. You sign in to your broker account once, connect your Telegram account, and choose the groups to copy. From then on calls are copied around the clock with your phone and computer off, and there is no VPS to rent or keep running.

Why most copiers need a VPS

Most copiers are an expert advisor, a small program that runs inside MetaTrader on your computer. It can only place a trade while MetaTrader is open and online. A laptop that goes to sleep, a Windows update in the night or a dropped Wi-Fi connection means the calls posted in that time are missed, and so is the management of trades already open.

A VPS solves that by renting a computer in a data centre that stays on. It works, but it is another monthly bill, and you still have to install MetaTrader on it, keep it updated and notice when it stops.

How a hosted copier is different

A hosted copier runs MetaTrader 5 for you. With Trade By Focus, a real MetaTrader 5 terminal is signed in to your broker account on our servers and stays on 24/7. Your broker sees an ordinary MetaTrader 5 login, and your money stays with your broker.

Your Telegram account is connected the same way: we read the groups you are already in, so there is no bot to add and nothing for the group owner to do.

Setting it up

  1. Start the 7-day free trial. No card is needed.
  2. Connect your MetaTrader 5 account with your broker's server, your account number and your password. It takes about 30 seconds and there is nothing to install. The password is used to connect and is never stored.
  3. Connect Telegram with your phone number and the code Telegram sends you, plus your Telegram password if you use two-step verification.
  4. Choose the groups to copy and how to copy each one: exactly as posted, or with your own trade size, take profits and loss limits.

You can do all four on a phone. Every copier setting.

What happens if the connection drops

Sometimes a broker ends the session: you changed your MetaTrader password, the account expired or the broker had an outage. We reconnect on our own first. If that fails, you get a notification asking you to sign in again.

Until you do, new calls are not copied, and management we run for you (partial closes at take profits, moving the stop to break-even, trailing stops) pauses. A stop loss or take profit already placed with your broker still closes the trade as normal, because it sits at your broker, not with us.

What it does not do

  • It works with MetaTrader 5 only. If your account is MetaTrader 4, ask your broker for an MT5 account; most offer both.
  • Copying Telegram signals is on the Pro plan, $35 a month after the trial.

Questions

Can I copy Telegram signals with my computer off?

Yes, with a hosted copier. MetaTrader 5 runs for you on the copier's servers, so calls are copied and trades are managed with your phone and computer off.

Do I need to install anything?

No. You connect your MetaTrader 5 account and your Telegram account in the app or the browser. Nothing is installed in MetaTrader or on your computer.

Does it work with any broker?

Any broker that offers MetaTrader 5, demo or live. You keep your existing account.
