How to choose a Telegram signal copier for MT5 in 2026

We make a Telegram signal copier, so read this knowing that. Every check below is one you can run on any copier, ours included, on a free trial with your own groups.

The short answer

Choose the copier that reads your group's signals correctly, keeps trading with your computer off, and stops a bad day before it empties the account. Test those three on a free trial with the groups you actually follow, before you pay. Price matters less: most plans cost $35 to $50 a month, and one badly copied trade can cost more than the gap between them.

1. Does it read signals the way your group posts them?

Almost no group posts the tidy "BUY XAUUSD 2650 SL 2640 TP 2660" that copiers show in their demos. Real calls look like "Gold sell 3985-3990, SL 95, TP 80/75/70": an entry zone, the stop and take profits written as two digits, sometimes the stop in a second message a minute later, or a "buy now" with the levels posted after.

A copier that only understands the tidy format skips these calls or, worse, misreads them. Before you pay, connect the groups you follow on the free trial and compare every call the group posts with what the copier did. Count the calls it missed and the ones it got wrong.

Ours reads zones, two-digit prices, levels posted after the call, a buy and a sell in one message, and edits to the message. Every way it reads a signal.

2. What does it do when a call has no stop loss?

Many groups post the entry first and the stop loss later, and some never post one. Ask each copier what happens then: does it enter with no stop, wait for one, or skip the call? Entering with no stop is how one bad call takes a large part of an account.

Ours waits for the group to add its stop, in an edit or a follow-up, and does not trade the call if none comes. You can switch that off and enter straight away.

3. Does it keep working with your computer off?

Many copiers are an expert advisor that runs inside MetaTrader on your own computer. MetaTrader has to stay open and online the whole time, so a laptop that sleeps or a Windows update means missed calls. The usual answer is renting a VPS, a computer in a data centre, which is another bill and another thing to keep running.

A hosted copier runs MetaTrader 5 for you on its own servers. Ours is hosted, so nothing needs to stay open on your phone or computer. How copying works without a VPS.

4. Does it follow what the group posts after the call?

Groups manage their trades in later messages: "move SL to entry", "close half", "TP1 hit, close". If the copier ignores these, your trade runs on after the group has closed theirs. You also want the choice to ignore them, for groups whose exit calls you do not trust.

Ours applies edits and follow-ups to the live trade when a group is followed exactly, or ignores its exit calls and lets each trade run to its own stop and take profits.

5. Can you manage their signals your own way?

Copying a group exactly means taking its risk exactly. Check that you can set your own trade size from the risk you want to take, split the position across several take profits, move the stop to break-even when you choose, and leave a runner open.

Ours lets you size each trade by a percentage of your account at the signal's own stop, close in stages at up to five take profits, move to break-even at any of them, trail the stop and spread an entry across a zone as layered entries. Every setting.

6. Will it stop a bad day before it empties the account?

A copier with a loss limit on each group still lets five groups each lose their limit on the same day. Look for a daily loss limit on each group and one across the whole account, and check whether the account limit counts trades you place yourself in MetaTrader.

Ours has daily and weekly limits on every group, plus Equity Protection across the whole account, including trades placed directly in MetaTrader.

7. Can you check a group before you copy it?

This matters more than every other check, because no copier makes a losing group profitable. Since 7 July 2026 we have tracked every call from 995 Telegram groups on demo accounts at live prices. Of the 619 groups with at least ten closed trades, 249 (40%) are in profit over their record so far.

Most copiers leave this to you. Ours comes with Signal Rankings: each group's measured record, its risk, and the losses it never posted. How to pick a group.

8. Is your account safe?

Two logins are involved. For Telegram, a copier either reads groups through your own Telegram account or asks you to add its bot to the group. A bot needs the group owner's permission, which paid groups rarely give. For MetaTrader, ask where your password goes and whether it is kept.

Ours reads the groups you are already in through your own Telegram account, with no bot and nothing for the group owner to do. Your MT5 password is used to start your connection and is never stored. Your money stays with your broker.

9. Can you try it properly before paying?

A one-day trial does not show how a copier handles a full week of real calls, a news day or a group's follow-ups. Look for a trial long enough to see that, and read the refund terms: some only refund if you prove the software does not work.

Ours has a 7-day free trial with no card, and a full refund within 14 days of paying.

Questions

What is the best Telegram signal copier for MT5?

The one that copies your own groups correctly. Run the same week of real calls through each copier's free trial and compare what each one placed with what the group posted. Check that it keeps working with your computer off, handles calls without a stop loss safely, and has loss limits on each group and on the whole account.

Do I need a VPS for a Telegram signal copier?

Only if the copier runs inside MetaTrader on your own computer. A hosted copier runs MetaTrader 5 for you on its own servers, so there is nothing to keep switched on.

Can a signal copier make a losing group profitable?

No. A copier only places the group's calls. Better entries, sizing and limits can reduce losses, but a group that loses money over months will lose it on your account too. Check the group's measured record first.
